MY MIND IS UP IN THE MOUNTAINS.
- And I didn't even have to climb. Far away from the snow, the cold and the winter sports I don't pursue, with which the mountains are automatically associated. Instead wrapped in the charm of the mountains, which I never thought would cast a spell on me.
But here I am. Enchanted by the beauty of the mountains. The variety of the landscape surrounding them. Fascinated by the unbelievable dimensions of the 1200 kilometer long mountain range of the Alpes.
The starting point of our 10 day road trip through Italy.
what to do
PASSO DELLO STELVIO
Stilfser Joch. - Prad to Bormio. 2757m high. 80 hairpin curves. 46km long.
The ideal mixture of nerve-racking and breathtaking. Passo dello Stelvio is the highest mountain pass in Italy and with Prad as our base the perfect starting point for our trip over the Alpes to the next location on our list, Lago di Como.

LAGO DI RESIA
Rechensee. - Artifical Lake. Mysterious. Breathtaking. Netflix famous.
A lake that I got to know through the ski trips of my boyfriend. Only known to both of us only as frozen and snowy, the lake left us speechless in its bright blue summer state.
With a background filled with mystery and beauty, it was no wonder that Netflix became aware of this unique place and created the series ‚Curon‘ around it.
where to eat
Morning menus, mountain top treats & hidden Pizza gems to start an extraordinary food journey through Italy.
what to do
WATLES
Alpine Mountain. - Located in Vinschgau. 2557 m high. Skiing. Hiking.
Since I still have not developed any enthusiasm for winter sports, at least not beyond a TV broadcast, we decided to go for a shorter hike up mountain Watles. I highly recommend using Komoot, a great App for planning hiking routes according to your own preferences.
